QUESTION: growing fruit tree organically

Can i grow cherry and peach trees organically or not i really hope that someone can help me. Thanks.

steviestever writes: Spread ample amounts of cinnimon powder around the trunk to outside the drip line of the Peach trees to prevent leaf curl. :)

5000fingers writes: You can probably grow cherries organically, there are a lot of different organic fertilizing options and the birds are always your worst pests.

But depending on your region it might be a little tough to grow peaches without at least some kind of dormant spray to control the leaf curl fungus. One option would be to choose varieties of peaches that are naturally resistant to the leaf curl. The tree I have is a Dave Wilson three-in-one multi-graft with Indian Blood Free, Frost, and Q-1-8. This a great tree to have in a backyard because these are three very different peaches (the first one is a blood peach, the second is a yellow freestone, and the third is a white semi-free stone), and all three varieties are resistant to leaf curl.
