In this video you will be shown how to make miniature wreaths from canning jar lids (also called rings) and plastic mesh bags from the grocery store. These quick to make wreaths look darlingon the Christmas tree, but I love to hang them outside in my garden to bring a little color to the bare branches of my shrubs. You can also use this idea to feed the birds by attaching edibles to the wreath such as berries, seeds glued (with egg white) to pipe cleaners, broom corn, etc. By Bernadette Fox for http://www.favecrafts.com/Craft-Videos

Basic Materials List:

1. Canning jar lids or rings.

2. Mesh bag from the grocery market (often found holding oranges and onions).

3. 26 gauge wire

4. Sprigs of greenery

5. A small ornament (I used miniature pine cones I found in the woods)

6. A meaningful word written on a wooden craft piece or a plastic lid. "Joy", "Peace", "Merry Christmas", "Love"

Basic Instructions:

1. Drill two holes close together on the side of the canning jar lid. You will use these holes for the hanger made from the wire. The same wire will also be used to attach the meaningful word.

2. Drill two more holes close together at about 5 o'clock from the hanger holes, but this time on the top of the lid. These holes will be used to attach the bow you make from the mesh bag, greenery, and small ornament.
