Growing Organic Vegetables in a Greenhouse

Following are some practical ideas for growing your own healthy and delicious organic vegetables and fruits in a greenhouse

Plan the layout of your greenhouse garden in advance, you'll maximize the precious environmentally controlled greenhouse planting space. Don't forget to mix together plants that when combined can ward off insects and help each other grow stronger.

Here are a few suggestions:

           Nasturtiums – deter aphids

Leeks and Onions together deter carrot flies.

Tomatoes and French Marigolds chase off black and green flies.

Ground beds planting can draw ants…so, plant some Peppermint, Spearmint or Garlic to ward off the pesky ants.

Slugs and snails can be held under control by the use of beer placed in small saucers around the garden area.

Be sure not to forget to include plants that attract beneficial insects….e.g.    Ladybugs, lacewings and hoverflies are attracted to Lavender, Rosemary and Dill.

Do a little research into the archieves of gardening folklore and you might make new discovery of a long forgotten natural remedy of formula for keeping your garden and family healthy….Naturally!
