My husband (only trying to help of course...) sprayed my entire vegetable garden with an insecticide that is for use on trees, shrubs and flowers only. It states "not for use on edible plants". He didnt read it and assumed it was the right one for the garden.  the specific product was "Bayer advanced 3 in 1 insect, disease and mite control".  by the time I got home and realized it, it had been several hours in the hot sun.  he attempted to rinse it off, but it had already dried.  When I called the 1-800 number on the product they said that we cannot eat anything from the garden for a complete growing cycle.  I just cannot accept this - we have worked so hard on this garden, not to mention the money spent on plants.  We have potatoes, corn, peas, beans, carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, squash, cucumbers, various melons and almost 20 tomato plants that are just strating to develop tomatoes.  Please, someone tell me it's not all really ruined???????
