Spring is a busy season, with endless garden chores and a lot of botanical excitement from the miracle of sprouting seeds to cutting back plants, pruning, cleaning up, digging in the garden earth and the joy of seeing the earth burst forth with green growing things.

The garden soil has been amended with manure and compost and the holes have been dug and I've been waiting for the right moment to get up from the computer and transplant hardened off seedlings. Rain and thunder--no problem for this seasoned and dedicated gardener.

These transplants literally grew before my eyes. I transplanted them, went indoors after I got soaking wet to the skin and when the rain stopped and I came back out to check on them... they had grown bigger!
