Diets, regimes, tricks and smart ways to build muscles do exists. They all work and millions of people all around the world can prove it. However, professionals do the things rather different. They eat a lot. Food is essential for body builders and athletes and they know it better than anyone. Their food is not pure protein or carbohydrate. Its a mix. These people eat five or more times a day. They train hard, sleep a lot and try to be as calm as possible which requires rather special mind set. That is why big football clubs or professional sportsmen have their own psychiatrist.

So what is it, that professionals eat?

Chicken Breasts with Lemon

  • a quarter cup of olive oil
  • a bulb of minced garlic one third of a cup of dry white wine
  • zest of two lemons
  • lemon juice - one well squeezed lemon will be plenty
  • one and a half tablespoon of oregano
  • some thyme leaves.
  • Salt and black pepper
  • 4 fresh chicken breasts with the skin on
  • a lemon

The olive oil should be heated on medium heat. Add the garlic and fry for about a minute. Do not allow the garlic to get brown. That adds unpleasant taste to it which mixes with the rest of the ingredients and takes some of the unique flavor away.

Take the oil with the garlic off the heat and add everything but the breasts and the pepper. Once the sauce ready, pour it in a baking dish, add the breasts with the skin side up. Grab a soft brush and add olive oil over the breasts and sprinkle generously with pepper and salt. Throw it in the oven for about 40 minutes. If that's not enough, cover the dish with alumina foil and bake for 10 more minutes.

Chicken with Potatoes and Veggies

It's hard to find more classical meal for a sportsmen. It combines everything which a professional athlete needs and it's very fast to prepare.

1.5kg of boneless chicken breasts. For even lower amount of the fats you can even remove the skin. That will make the meat dryer and a bit harder to chew.

1kg. Potatoes. Peel them and leave them in water. That will prevent oxygenation and black spots on them.

0.5kg of peeled and chopped carrots

1 onion

2 tablespoons of lemon zest

300gr. Parmesan cheese

Preheat the oven up to 200 degrees Celsius. Put the potatoes, the chicken and the carrots in a baking dish. Cover with the dressing and bake for an hour on medium heat. When you take the meal out of the cooker, sprinkle with cheese and leave it to cool for 15 minutes. Then you can serve with juice, water or if you want with white wine.

Tip: according some oven cleaners, healthy cooking is only possible in clean oven. They recommend all the grease and burns to be removed before the cooking as they can even be slightly toxic. On the other hand, we all know that they deliver unpleasant taste to the meal. The specialists also recommend to cover the bottom of the oven with alumina foil and replace it with new one once a week. That eases the cleaning and do not effect the cooking process.

So, next time when you see the fantastic body of a professional bodybuilder, do not wonder what the secret is. You can achieve similar results if you want to. Your first step should be to improve your eating habits which i hope will new be easier. Have a nice day.
