Vermicompost, or worm castings, are surprisingly simple to make. Give your worms a dark, cozy home with plenty of food, moisture, oxygen, and a comfortable temperature and you'll be rewarded with piles and piles of worm manure. In this video, Jodie Colon, of the New York Botanical Garden, demonstrates how to create your own worm bin.

I just taught my 4H gardening/plant science group all about vermicomposting. They each make their own bin and LOVED it!
