For years I would transplant my veggie seedlings into 4-inch plastic pots before I put them in the garden or out on my mini-farmstand. I did my best to recycle them, but I discovered that the easiest thing to do was make my pots out of recycled newspaper instead. The best part is that you can plant the whole thing right in the soil and the newspaper will decompose, saving time and helping to prevent transplant shock. Making the pots is a really easy project and a great activity for kids who aren't afraid to get their hands dirty. —Patti the Garden Girl

Yahoodie writes: Love the idea and the ease but have reservations about that tape. Beanwoman has the right idea, flour and water 'glue".

beanwoman writes: Wonderful idea. I tried the maple 2' potmaker from a friend and just couldn't get it. Your's makes sense. What kind of biodegradeable tape did you use? Everything I can think of hangs around forever. Flower and water to hold to start maybe might work.
i am looking forward to having the time to view your other videos.
Thank you.
