May is one of my favorite times of the year because where I live it's planting season. It's wonderful seeing my garden turn green and for the first flowers of spring to bloom.  I have azaleas and lilac flowers. My grape vines are budding.  The memories of the cold winter are slowly fading, and my mouth is beginning to water with the thought of the fresh food I will begin eating right from my back yard. 

In this video Mel and I discuss useful gardening tips for the month of May.
