As it turns out we installed our vegetable garden in the wrong spot this year. Too much shade means small fruits and veggies and very slow progress. Not to mention, it's been an unseasonably rainy summer here in Connecticut and the extra water and lack of sun hasn't been any help.

The plants I bought at Tomatomania are doing much better than those planted from seed. 

We're keeping our fingers crossed for a fruitful August!

Kate_Frank writes: I had the same problem. My back garden is a flop and I have everything in containers on my side yard. Better luck next year!
