Rosemary cuttings are dipped in rooting hormone, then planted in seed pots...
This lemongrass cutting is ready to be planted!   It already has new leaves near the top...
I admit it...I kill thyme everytime I try to grow it!  I bought this healthy plant at the grocery store! :)

I've been experimenting with bringing some of my favorite herbs inside for the winter!  I just hate the thought of not having access to my favorite herbs at a moment's notice, and have you seen the herb prices at the grocery store lately?  Outrageous!   I have taken some cuttings of my rosemary, basil, and some lemongrass as well.  Unfortunately, the basil grew beautiful roots, but I managed to kill the plant by not planting it when it was ready!  The rosemary is doing well though.  The lemongrass (proudly displayed by my 3 yr old son Will), has a beautiful root system, new leaf growth, and is ready to pot.  As for the English thyme, well, I bought a new plant at the grocery store.  I have never been able to keep thyme growing for long...maybe this plant will have a better chance!

I still have a really healthy rosemary plant outside, as well as a nice sage plant.  The sage should be fine outside for the winter...and back in full production next Spring.

Thanks for taking a look at my herb garden....Happy Gardening to you!
