I have had a hard time gardening in FL in zone 9-10. So many of my plants have died-I have no idea from what-I am so happy when the plants that I do plant survive. The soil is so sandy and I add good planting soil whenever I plant. I need so good information on what to plant food wise that will survive. I have had no luck with tomatoes, potatoes, sunflowers-my buddliea just died-I guess I babied it too much. My Belle of Woking died within days of planting, but the rose Red Eden is doing great.

Ruth writes: dropspinner, welcome to the site. I love your pineapple photo. I have one growing as a houseplant, but that's the best I can expect as a New England gardener.
