If you find a plant that someone has thrown away don't leave it there if you think it might be still alive.  This was going into the trash but I felt it was still alive.  I checked and removed some of the branches and found that it was green which meant alive but that it was just traumatized so I planted in good top soil and then feed it every chance I got with lots of water.  This is a rare find as it's a Blue Lady Rose of Sharon.  I'm simply in love with this color.  I have other Rose's of Sharon but find this one the star of my garden.
