Re: Lake Valley Seed: Now That's Italian!

I've had great success with the Bavicchi seeds I've purchased from http://www.gourmetseed.com. The packages have an amazing amount of seed but I've had excellent germination and longevity. I only wish I had better luck limiting myself especially when it comes to the many varieties of cime di rapa! Now another source of temptation... I'm sure you'll have some wonderful harvests.

Re: Soil Testing Savvy

I'm so pleased to have found a link to this in my email this morning! Thank you whoever is responsible.

I finally got around to ordering my boxes last month but none of my gardening friends, as the article mentions, have had their soil tested. This article gives me exactly the encouragement I need, it reinforces the info from Cornell and adds several wonderful tips. I have "lively soil" so I'm happy to know I probably won't have to do much to my beds.

Thanks again.

Re: Seed Viability Test

Greg, have you ever tried transferring the sprouted seed to growing medium? Do you think it's worth trying?
